2018 LGLA Leadership Forum – Leading to the Finish: Reflections on a Term in Office
January 31-February 2, 2018 – Radisson Hotel Vancouver Airport, Richmond
The 2018 Leadership Forum took place January 31-February 2 at the Radisson Hotel Vancouver Airport in Richmond. Our theme for this final Forum of the 2014-18 electoral term was Leading to the Finish: Reflections on a Term in Office. Concurrent sessions were held on the main day of the Forum under the streams Overcoming Challenges, Moving Forward, and Celebrating Achievements. Over 140 elected officials and senior administrators from local governments and First Nations communities from all over the province attended. We welcomed an incredible array of speakers and panelists and sessions were held on everything from social media, to cannabis legalization, to wildfire recovery, to local government-First Nations partnerships, to women in local government, and more.
Our thanks to everyone who made the Forum such a success and we look forward to reconnecting with our local government family at the 2019 Elected Officials Seminar (EOS) Series — eight events held around the province for newly elected and returning elected officials after the October 2018 local government election.
