Letters of support for application.

Letters of support (maximum 500 words) are required for a Level 3 application from 3 individuals familiar with your performance in elected office. The letters must be authored by a range of individuals – e.g., one council/board colleague, one constituent, one business or community leader.*

NOTE: Letters of support must be submitted by persons unrelated to the applicant – preferably a mix of colleagues/peers and constituents. While supporters are not required to explain how the applicant demonstrates each individual core competency, they should be familiar with the eight core competencies and should provide specific examples of how the applicant has demonstrated effective elected leadership during their terms of office. Supporters must include their name and contact information in their letter and be willing to speak with a member of the LGLA Board and/or Staff regarding their support for an applicant.
